Diwali
Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is one of India’s most celebrated festivals — symbolising the triumph of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil.
The story of Diwali finds its roots in the epic Ramayana, where Lord Rama returns to Ayodhya after fourteen years of exile and the victory over Ravana, the demon king. To honour his return, the people of Ayodhya illuminated their homes with rows of clay lamps (diyas), creating a radiant glow that marked the first Diwali.
Over time, Diwali evolved into a celebration of spiritual awakening, prosperity, and gratitude. Each flickering lamp represents hope and positivity — a reminder that even in times of darkness, light always prevails.
